L'Hôtel Drouot et le carrefour incontournable des bibliophiles, l'endroit ou se font et se défont les bibliothèques.
Comme le remarque Henri Beraldi en 1897 :"On devient bibliophile sur le champ de bataille, au feu des achats, au contact journalier des bibliophiles, des libraires et des livres". Il a parfaitement décrit l'ambiance d'une bonne vente aux enchères publiques de livres à Drouot.

L'étude Christophe JORON-DEREM disperse chaque année une ou plusieurs bibliothèques souvent confiées dans le cadre d'une succession.
