ALPHONSE GIROUX in PARIS Rectangular watercolorist's case in rosewood and sycamore veneer with two retractable brass handles. Inside lid with red morocco gusseted pocket. Compartments featuring trays organized with gilded metal and mother-of-pearl accessories and preparation sets, such as knife inscribed "ALPH GIROUX A PARIS, penholder, mechanical pencil, ruler, chisel, penknife, mother-of-pearl and 18K (750/000) gold hallmark D.L with mercury head and bird for DUPONNOIS Catherine-Adelaide - Leferre veuve). Twenty bottles with gilded metal stoppers, color tablets by Lambertye, pigments, charcoal and charcoal pencils in their antique packaging. Rectangular marble pallet and two cut-crystal cups. It features a removable side drawer with a portfolio opening at the top, revealing a green felt carpet, and an adjustable rack at the bottom containing small porcelain cups decorated with gold floral scrolls (cracks, missing parts and accidents).
