PRISE DES TUILERIES - COMMUNE DE PARIS. Round, double-sided commemorative medal in brown patina bronze, depicting winged liberty on one side, holding a pike topped with a Phrygian cap in her left hand and a thunderbolt in her right, and breaking a scepter and crown under her feet with the inscription: "EXEMPLE AUX PEUPLES - X AOUST MDCCXCII" and on the reverse two victories holding a Phrygian cap on a lictor bundle and the inscription: "À LA MÉMOIRE DU GLORIEUX COMBAT DU PEUPLE FRANÇAIS CONTRE LA TYRANNIE AUX TUILERIES - LA COMMUNE DE PARIS", made by Pierre-Simon-Benjamin Duvivier (1730-1819), in July 1792. French work from the late 18th century. Diameter: 5.5 cm. Good condition.
