Lead sheet : 24 x 50,3 cm Executed in 1973 in an edition of 8 copies plus artist's proofs, assembled by Lucien Treillard, Paris, after the original object of 1933 (lost). This copy is not accompanied by its metal plate indicating its edition number. The present proof does not have its accompanying metal plaque indicating its number in the edition. Note : The theme of the lips is important in the work of Man Ray. It takes up the theme of his great fetish painting A l'heure de l'observatoire les amoureux which represents Lee Miller's lips suspended in the sky.
