Maria (1911-1978) and Rosy (1914-1983) practiced hairdressing in Toulouse in the 1920s, winning a prize in 1936, before moving to Paris in 1943 and starting at Chez Gervais, the leading hairdresser of the day. They revived the fashion for wigs presented by Givenchy models. In 1968, at 11, rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, they opened the first beauty salon, complete with spa and beauty treatments. When Maria died in 1978, their nephew Christophe CARITA joined the family business and became artistic director. Nicknamed the "Little Prince of Beauty" by women's magazine editors.
